Busted! Buhari’s PA, Tunde uses his phone to text CBN Gov, NNPC GMD, others to make financial demands

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant, Sabiu ‘Tunde’ Yusuf, has reportedly been caught using the President’s cell phone to text the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele to make financial demands.

Tunde has also been caught texting the General Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and others soliciting for finances and other demands.

The revelation was made by Mr. Jackson Ude, a former Director of Strategy/Communication under President Goodluck Jonathan, who is also a Journalist, on his Twitter handle.

Mr. Ude also revealed that he also takes official letter headed papers for personal use.

He also reportedly changes memos, a “height of criminality,” Ude noted.

Another online media has reported how the Senior Special Assistant to the President (Domestic), Abba Sarki, and Personal Assistant and the Private Secretary, Sabiu ‘Tunde’ Yusuf, in collaboration with some Ministry of Power officials had pushed the government to commit to the purchase of a building for the Transmission Company of Nigeria at a grossly inflated price in Abuja.

Sarki and Yusuf had reportedly pushed their cronies in the Ministry of Power further to actualise the purchase of the property for around N14bn to N17bn – a rate many times higher than the original cost of the building.

The Online media has also revealed how Abdul Muktar, who works as Senior Special Assistant to the President in the office of the Chief of Staff had been signing documents illegally since the demise of late Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Abba Kyari.

Abdul Muktar is son-in-law to Mamman Daura, a powerful nephew to the President and one of his closest confidants.

  • The Presidency versus the Office of the First Lady

The expose is coming in the aftermath of reports that ADC to President, CPSO to President, Chief Detail to President, ADC to first lady, Escort Commander, and 37 others have been removed from the villa.

Mamman Daura versus Aisha Buhari

ElombahNews has reported that the State house in turmoil as President Muhammadu Buhari sacked his security details and some top aides.

President Buhari fired his security details and some top aides for the roles they played in a reported degenerated squabble among family members and officials of the Presidency.

Those sacked and/or reassigned included Buhari’s Chief Security Officer, Kassim Idrissa, his ADC, Col. Mohammed Lawal Abubakar, his Chief Personal Security Officer, Abdulkareem Dauda, whom Yusuf, a son to Buhari’s niece, claimed to be threats to his life.

Daura managed to protect his son-in-law, Abdul Muktar, who works as Senior Special Assistant to the President in the office of the Chief of Staff.

Trouble started last week when Mr. Sabiu Yusuf, a.k.a. “Tunde”, a nephew and influential Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, escaped a brutal attack from the First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari and her children — Zahra, Halima and Yusuf and shots were fired at him.
ElombahNews learnt the mayhem was over Yusuf’s refusal to embark on a 14-day isolation period after returning to Abuja from a trip to Lagos last week.
The Aide De Camp to Mrs Buhari and other security details attached to her were arrested on the orders of the IGP.
They were later released and reassigned after it was claimed that they threatened to kill the President’s Personal Assistant in the process of trying to get him out of the Villa.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media to President, Mallam Garba Shehu and Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina were contacted for response via SMS over the allegation.
Mallam Garba Shehu did not confirm or debunk the story but rather responded:
“You are asking the wrong person. Won’t you please ask parties concerned?”
