Calls for Nnamdi Kanu’s release gather momentum
Agitations for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have continued, as a cross section of social media users have called for the release of the self-acclaimed freedom fighter.
It is also understood that plans are underway to carry out a 3 day global protest in Los Angeles, CA, USA this week starting from today 12 July, as a way of calling the world’s attention to the arrest and detention of the Biafran Leader.
Below are some reactions that accompanied the trend:
@Tonychycke77 wrote: God is working in a mysterious way. Nnamdi Kanu has become more popular while incarcerated. Biafra and ipob are now globalized. Their aim of arresting him has been defeated. He will come out more stronger more resilient and fulfilled. Aka Chukwu Okike Abiama di na Biafra project.
Another social media user @IgurubeBuafra wrote: They can’t stop us, the spirit is everywhere. If you stop Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, you can’t stop Biafra Biafra is a spirit in us. We don’t die!!!!
@TBRvorg added that: Mazi Nnamdi KANU was abducted for speaking against the incessant killing of Biafrans by Nigeria govt. He is only a freedom fighter. Over 80 Million Biafrans all over the world are ready to pay the ultimate price for their freedom.
@funshograpgix: I’m still angry that Nnamdi Kanu is still under detention when the real enemy of Nigeria are walking freely because they’re fulani herdsmen & bandits. It’s just painful that we’re joined to live together when we had nothing in common with these people. I’m against one Nigeria.
