The job of the Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru might be on the line over his failure to capture the leader of Boko Haram terrorists group, Abubakar Shekau.
This development followed a deadline given to him by the Chief Of Army Staff, Nigerian Army, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai on Friday, 21st July 2017.
Elombah.com gathered that General Buratai wondered why Shekau has remained elusive despite the amount of arsenal at the disposal of the Theatre Command.
He, therefore, gave him 40 days to capture Abubakar Shekau “dead or alive”.
General Buratai, however, did not disclose exactly the consequences of his deadline to General Attahiru.
He, meanwhile, requested the general public to also assist and volunteer information that would lead to the arrest of Shekau.
Shekau, the Boko Haram terrorists group leader, has been leading a ragtag of loyals especially in the northeast.
He has been attacking army fortresses, abducting unsuspecting victims and killing innocent citizens for about 7 years.
His latest onslaught was the abduction of 16 women police officers who has since portrayed in a video.
