Catholic priest burnt alive in Taraba on his way to Peace Meeting
Suspected bandits have ambushed and killed a Catholic priest in Kufai Amadu in Takum local government area of Taraba state on his way to peace meeting to resolve Tiv and Junkun crisis in Takum local government area of Taraba state.
It was gathered that the Priest was on his way to Takum to meet his fellow clergy and resolve ongoing crisis between Tiv and Junkun in Taraba state.

Shiban Tikari said the clergyman and his vehicle were set ablaze.
The chairman identified the deceased as David Tanko, a reverend father who hails from Wukari local government area of the state.
Tikari alleged that the attack was carried out by “Tiv militias”.
He blamed several other attacks that have claimed lives and property in southern Taraba on the group.
