Civil Service Commission Denies Trade Ministry ‘Staff’ Hobnobbing With EFCC [Doc]

The Federal Civil Service Commission [FCSC] has officially denied knowledge of one Ms. Patience Linus Yakubu, a purported staff of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, saying it has no single record of her.

The denial was contained in a letter signed by H. T. Ejibunu, the Director of Human Resources Management for the honourable chairman of the commission.

The letter was in response to a Freedom of Information [FoI]-based inquiry forwarded by the Chief Analyst for Research and Information of Eagle Eyes Transparency International, Dr. George Davidson, to the agency.

The development seems very strange  as every staff of every ministry ought to have been recruited by the Civil Service Commission in the first instance.

Consequent upon the development, Dr. Davidson, in a memo to ElombahNews wondered:

“Who employed her? When, where and how?”

Speaking further, Davidson said:

“We saw her with an identity card of Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment  at the point of arrest October 22nd 2018 about 2pm.

“Our agent has been abducted and detained by IGP-IRT  to frustrate this investigation on the orders of DIG Habila Joshak.”

In the letter by the Civil Service Commission, Ejibunu directed Davidson to ‘direct his enquiry on her to the Economic and Financial Commission [EFCC] which arrested her or the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment where she is currently employed”.

Ms. Linus Yakubu’s story was reported to ElombahNews as an impostor of EFCC cum extortionist  shielded by a former DIG operations Force Headquarters as she claimed to be his mistress even though married to a Police Sergeant who is the police orderly to the National Assembly Chief Clerk.

The story reads in part:

“Eagle Eyes Transparency International has blown the lid on one Patience Yakubu Linus which led to her arrest.

“She was arrested at the point of collecting N300,000 arranged with operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC].

“Eagle Eyes informed that she was an EFCC imposter and wife to a police orderly to the clerk of National Assembly in Abuja.

“The whistleblowers also alleged that she belongs to a syndicate specialised in extorting between N300,000-N500,000 in the guise of securing jobs at EFCC,  Immigration Services,  Custom Services,  etc.,  for unsuspecting Nigerians .

“Eagle Eyes stated that Mrs. Yakubu extorted N7 million from unsuspecting Nigerians.

“However, EFCC officials let her off the hook because her husband is the police orderly to National Assembly clerk.

“To the chagrin of Eagle Eyes, however, Yakubu was audacious enough to mobilise police men to arrest the whistleblower.

“She also reportedly bragged that she is in sync with a particular DIG  at the Nigerian police Force headquarters and nothing will come out of the investigation.”
