Clifford Iroanya pays tribute to late barrister Emma Nmezu
One of the frontline pioneers of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) in the United States of America, Dr Clifford Iroanya has paid a heartfelt tribute to his former colleague, late barrister Emma Nmezu whose unfortunate death was announced today.
For those who followed up Biafra restoration trend between 2014 and 2015 will obviously attest to the selfless roles the two intellectual Irokos played.
The duo’s contributions will forever remain indelible in the minds of pro Biafra supporters across the globe.
Iroanya in his tribute assured late barrister Emma Nmezu that those of them who are still alive shall fulfill that task which they started with him by God willing.
Below is the full tribute of Dr Iroanya
Dear Barrister Emma Nmezu,
May your precious soul rest in the bosom of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Together, we worked tirelessly using our intellectual prowess to inform, educate, and enlighten our people on the reason for pursuing Self-Determination in a manner that makes sense and devoid of acrimony, lies, deceit, and rudderlessness.
We did our best intellectually, physically, and financially to elevate the consciousness of our people to the level of acute awareness and dispassionate dissection of information, ideas, and philosophical leanings.
We toiled day and night, traveled by all and every means of voyage to engage our people, as well as others, in entrenched message of hope, based on our convictions that we are all in sync with our epistemological trajectory on Self-Determination.
We maximized all available resources and platforms to engage, permeate, and imbue into our folks, the raison d’etre for our collective undertaking towards our extrication from the poison chalice bequeathed on us by the thieving British Empire.
Even in the face of brigandage, hatred and suspicion based on inferiority complex from our own folks, and unbridled-cum-unchecked virtuperations from jealous and jittery frontliners that led to character assassinations, we remain stoic and unmoved in our strong convictions that Self-Determination is inalienable and irreducible. We survived the wiles of the devil incarnates and the devil advocates parading themselves as freedom-fighters and we surged forward undeterred.
But today, you are no more!!!
Adieu, my brother and comrade. Those of us who are still alive shall fulfill that task we started with you, God willing.
Rest on, brother……
