The Coalition of Civil Society Organisations of Nigeria COCSON has warned failed and nepotic politicians not to venture to contest the 2019 elections as they will be disgraced at the polls it they do so.
The National President of the group Chuks Ibegbu berated politicians for the high level of looting of public funds in the country and wondered why the EFCC is yet to convict any visible looting politician or the past and present era.
He asked President Buhari to be firmer on his war against corruption and ensure that no one including those that ran to the APC to hide their loots are spared.
Ibegbu also noted that skewed appointment is another form of corruption and advised the President to be President of all Nigerians and not just a section of the country. Ibegbu want Security votes and immunity for politicians removed immediately as they hide under it to loot the country dry.
In another vein the group has begun its nationwide conscientization of Nigerians to prepare for the challenges of the 2019 elections with rallies in all state capitals and Abuja.
Chuks Ibegbu also noted that the group will also organise a March for Democracy and Good Governance at Abuja later in the year.
