Convention: APGA Chairman Refuses To Issue Forms To Aspirants For Fear Of Losing

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA], Chief Victor Ike Oye has refused to issue nomination forms for the upcoming national convention to fellow contestants over fear of losing his seat, ElombahNews has gathered.

According to our correspondent, Mr. Eneh Victor Chigozie, about two aspirants to the office of the National Chairman of APGA had obtained a bank draft of 250,000 naira each but are yet to be issued with nomination forms.

Barely two days to the national convention these aspirants are being denied the opportunity to stand for election coming up tomorrow, May 31.

The aspirants are Comrade Ikechukwu Chukwunyere and Chief Edozie Njoku.

Below is a short message, chief Edozie Njoku sent to Oye yesterday which was seen by our correspondent:

“Good morning National Chairman, been coming at The National Secretariat in Wuse 2. There is no one who can give information, nor collect payment for aspiration for positions into the National Executive of our party All Progressive Grand Alliance.

“Above is a copy for a draft of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira only which is for my payment to contest for National Chairman in the convention. Will contact the National Secretary as well. I will also be at the National Secretariat in Abuja again between 4pm and 5pm today to give party the draft.

Thank you.

Chief Edozie Njoku.” [End]

On his part, Comrade Chukwunyere has briefed his lawyer to write INEC and other relevant agencies on the refusal of Oye to issue nomination forms to other aspirants.
