Some delegates and aspirants in the Elective National Convention of PDP have raised alarm over a “Unity List” that is making rounds in the media.

Some delegates and aspirants in the ongoing Elective National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have raised alarm over a “Unity List” that is making rounds in the media.

Elombah.com had earlier reported about the “’Unity List’ in circulation while delegates are yet to vote.”

The list has Uche Secondus as chairman, Yemi Akinwomi as deputy chairman, et al.

According to sources, the list authored by the River State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Reacting to the list, a chairmanship aspirants, Raymond Dokpesi said that some group of delegates brought a list to him.

He agitated that those behind the list directed them to vote for all the aspirants whose names appeared on the list.

Speaking further, he said that he quickly approached and notified the Chairman of the Convention, Ifeanyi Okowa.

Okowa, on the other hand, promised to investigate the strange list.

Conclusively, Dokpesi called for the cancellation of the convention as the whole process has been compromised.

He noted that delegates had been bought over by some individuals within the party.

Other delegates also described the convention as charade and ruse meant for formality and public consumption.
