Court to rule on No Case submission by suspected EFCC impersonator Nov. 26


The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) sitting in Lugbe, Abuja, has set November 26, 2020, for ruling on the No Case submission made by one Ms. Patience Linus accused of impersonating officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

A civil society organisation (CSO), Eagle Eyes Transparency International, had blown the whistle on Ms. Linus accusing her of impersonating EFCC officials.

In the matter with case no: FCT/HC/CR/493/2019, FRN vs Patience Linus, the defendant was slammed with allegations bothering on impersonating of EFCC and extortion.

The matter came up on Wednesday at the FCT High Court 33 where a no case submission was made by the defendant.

The Prosecution Counsel drew the attention of the court that the defendant goes by various aliases sucg as Patience Linus, Patience EFCC, Halima Car, Aladi Yakubu, etc.

The Counsel vehemently opposed the application of No Case submission made by the defendant.

Arguments from both parties were heard by His lordship.

It could be recalled that the same defendant told a Magistrate Court at Wuse, Abuja, that there was no criminal charges against her anywhere in the world.

Using her cronies in the Police IGP-Monitoring Unit, she framed trumped up charges against the field agent of Eagle Eyes Transparency International claiming she was defamed.

The matter was adjourned to 26th November, 2020, for ruling on the No Case submission.
