COVID-19: Kwara shuts down schools Monday over pandemic


The Kwara State government has announced the shutting down of schools from Monday, March 23, 2020, over the coronavirus [COVID-19] pandemic.

The State Executive Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq announced the closure on his Twitter handle on Thursday.

Governor Abdulrazaq tweeted:

“As part of the efforts to contain the global spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, schools in Kwara will be shut down from Monday, March 23.

“We urge everyone to maintain the highest level of hygiene and to remain calm and adhere to all safety measures as announced by the Kwara State Ministry of Health and other national bodies.”
