COVID19: 52548 cases confirmed, 1004 deaths recorded

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have confirmed a total of 52548 cases of COVID19 after 321 new cases were discovered on Monday across 24 states in the country.

Meanwhile, 39257 patients have been discharged as 1004 persons have been reported dead.

The 321 new cases of COVID19 in Nigeria are presented as follows:

  • On the 24th of August 2020, 321 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
  • Till date, 52548 cases have been confirmed, 39257 cases have been discharged and 1004 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

  • A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities
