*Files for order to vacate his house*
Former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd) has dragged the FG and the Directorate of the State Security (DSS), to a Federal High Court in Abuja.
The e-NSA is seeking enforcement of his fundamental human rights to dignity and security of his life.
In the suit filed by his counsel, Ahmed Raji (SAN), on Monday, the ex-NSA is alleging threat to his life as well as restriction of his freedom of movement.
Mr. Dasuki is asking the court for an order compelling the Federal Government and its agents, the DSS to vacate his house with immediate effect.
The said house is located at 13, John Khadija Street, Asokoro, Abuja.
He prayed the court to stop the ongoing siege by the Nigeria secret police on his house and “to remove all impediments, human and non-human barricade and bulwarks” said to have hindered the permission granted him since November 3 to travel abroad for the treatment of his ailing medical condition.
In a motion on notice filed pursuant to section 36(5) 37 and 41 of the 1999 constitution and sections 1(1) and (2) and 266 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, the ex NSA also sought for order of the court extending order of November 3 permitting treatment of his ailment abroad.
It could be recalled that Justice Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja had on Tuesday, 03 November, 2015, allowed Dasuki to travel abroad citing health complications as basis for his decision.
The Federal Judge also ordered the DSS to release his international passport to enable him to embark on the trip.
However, in a bizarre defiance of existing court order, the DSS on Thursday, 05 November, invaded Sambo Dasuki’s house in Abuja.
According to information available to Elombah.com, the aim is to stops ex-NSA’s trip abroad.
Men of SSS for the second time in four months surrounded his house in order to scuttle the court-sanctioned health-related travel.
“They invaded his Abuja home early hours of this morning with some of their personnel guiding the gate and as well as stationing their vehicles there”, a source said.
No information regarding the arrest is forthcoming from the security agencies but investigations further revealed that the security agents besieged the Abuja Air Port Wednesday night in an anticipatory move to either stop the ex-NSA from travelling or arrest him.
The two developments, no doubt, prompted the latest suit by the aggravated former national Security Adviser.
