Dozie Nwankwo dumps APGA for APC
Hon Dozie Nwankwo, who represents the good people of Dunukofia/Njikiko/Anaocha federal constituency at the House of Representatives has dumped the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA] for the ruling All Progressives Congress [APC].
Hon Dozie Nwankwo was received into APC by the APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
With his official defection to APC, Onye Ndozi will declare for Anambra state 2021 governorship election on the platform of APC.
Failure to materialise, he hopes to emerge at least the party’s deputy governorship candidate.
APGA has kept losing members as the race to 2021 heats up partially owing to the actions and decisions of the former party chairman who bribery scandals has left the party in tatters.
Meanwhile, the mandate of Hon Dozie Nwankwo is still being challenged by Hon Val Ayika at the Court.
Dozie, who lost clearly at the polls on February 23, 2019, was controversially declared winner by the Appeal Court in Enugu.
According to our correspondent, Mr. Eneh Victor Chigozie, “the Appeal court judgement of Enugu against Val Ayika is as controversial as that of Hope Uzodimma vs Emeka Ihedioha by the Supreme Court.”
“Little wonder he defected to the ruling party,” noted an anonymous observer, “to satisfy his APC sponsors who handed a stolen mandate to him on a platter of gold.”
With his defection, APGA now has only 4 seats in the Reps, PDP has 6 and APC 1.
