Dozzy Oil Earmarks Millions to Disparage Gov. Sanwo-Olu for Pardoning Keystone Bank Staff
The Chairman of Dozzy Oil and Gas , Daniel N. Chukwudozie has allegedly earmarked millions of naira to disparage Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for granting pardon to an official of Keystone Bank, Anayo Nwosu, and clemency to Olajide Oshodi, an ex-staff of the Bank and Ashok Israni, the chairman of Nulec Industries Plc.
Anayo Nwosu had refused to ditch his bank to testify for Dozzy Oil who was the complainant not minding his years of friendship and family ties. Anayo was the star witness for his bank and Dozzy sees his action as a betrayal.
Bank PHB and Nulec Industries Plc as companies were convicted for N855m fraud by Justice Kudirat Jose of the Lagos State High Court.
The court also sentenced the two bank staff namely Anayo Nwosu for being the “eyes and legs” of the bank and the chairman of Nulec Industries plc to 5 years imprisonment.
It could be recalled that the bank staff were arraigned over conspiracy to obtain the sum of N855m from Sir Daniel Chukwudozie of Dozzy Oil & Gas Limited under the false pretence of paying for preference shares of Nulec Industries Limited in an upcoming Initial Public Offer. While the official of Keystone Bank were granted pardon by the Lagos state Governor approved their release on Saturday, 25 April 2020 and the Prison authorities executed the order on Tuesday 28 April 2020 for them to rejoin their wives and children.
Dissatisfied with the release of particularly Anayo Nwosu, the Chairman of Dozzy Oil, has allegedly earmarked millions of naira to disparage Governor Sanwo-Olu for granting pardon to those he would rather want to rot in jail.
It was gathered that the agenda is to discredit the Governor Sanwo-Olu administration and also the recent state clemency to prisoners approved by the Governor.
According to the source, Dozzy is angry with Governor Sanwo-Olu for granting state pardon to Anayo Nwosu and clemency to his case mates.
