Edo Gov poll: Emeka Etiaba, congratulates Obaseki

Emeka Etiaba, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, has congratulated Godwin Obaseki, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in the just concluded Edo State governorship election over his resounding re-election victory.

Etiaba who is a frontline governorship aspirant in the fast approaching Anambra 2021 poll also gave kudos to the Edo electorates, “for choosing wisely by voting the PDP candidate”, saying it was cheering that the will of the voters was allowed to prevail.

As a distinguished legal practitioner, he prayed for the people to be allowed always to choose their leaders henceforth in the nation’s electoral process so as to eliminate so much bickering and barrage of unnecessary litigations in our democracy.

This, he pointed out would progressively enthrone and foster lasting democratic culture in the nation.

While saluting Gov Obaseki and the PDP, especially the Edo state campaign team led by the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike for a meticulous job well done. Etiaba charged Obaseki and his cabinet to unleash an unprecedented round of democracy dividend on the citizens of the state.

The Senior Advocate noted that, the voters have in an unambiguous terms shown their implicit confidence in the governor and our great party, the PDP; so, it’s now left for Gov Obaseki to reciprocate by working tirelessly for the welfare of all citizens of Edo state.

Without overlooking the indirect role of President Muhammadu Buhari, the reverberating effect of the stand of the British Government and that of the United States of America to sanction all electoral fraudsters in government, Etiaba prayed that such situation need to be repeated in the next year governorship election in Anambra state from the party primaries to the election proper. That with such cooperation of other nations, African countries would begin to witness infrastructural development, drastically reduced politically motivated insecurity/thuggery/electoral malpractices and government of accountability.

He therefore called on Anambra electorates to emulate the people of Edo state and go for the best, which he represents.
