As FG approves 4th evacuation flight for stranded Nigerians in the USA
Egypt Air conveying 270 Stranded Nigerians arrive Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at exactly 2:30 pm local time today 10th of July, 2020.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) announced this on its Twitter handle on Friday.
NIDCOM says that all Evacuees tested Negative to COVID19 and will proceed on 14 days SELF-ISOLATION as mandated PTF on Covid-19.

Egypt Air drops off Nigerians as FG approves 4th evac flight from USA
In a relate development, the Federal Government of Nigeria has approved a 4th Evacuation flight for stranded Nigerians in the USA.
This was contained in a public notice issued by the Consulate General of Nigeria, New York, dated 8th July, 2020.
The stranded Nigerians will be flown through Ethiopian Airlines FLIGHT NO. ET509.
The flight is scheduled to depart Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), New Jersey on Tuesday, 28th July 2020 by 21:15hrs.
It will arrive Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (ABV), Abuja on Wednesday, 29th July 2020 by 13:25hrs.
According to the public notice, all prospective evacuees duly registered with any of the 3 Nigerian Missions in the USA should purchase their one-way tickets through Ethiopian Airlines.
The cost of the flight is USD1,250.00 for Economy class and USD2,800.00 for Business Class for adult/child fare, including all taxes, with the usual percentage reduction for infants under 2yrs.
Prospective evacuees who purchased tickets are advised to forward a copy of their evacuation ticket, as well as the name, phone number and contact address of their Next of Kin in Nigeria to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Consulate General warned that the process will be done on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
In accordance with the Nigerian Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, all prospective evacuees must present an original COVID-19 NEGATIVE test result (not older than 14 days on the day of departure) at the Airport.
He/she must also undergo a Temperature check 4 hrs before departure.
Any intending evacuees without the requisite requirements will not be allowed to check in, according to the Consulate General.
This include the stipulated test result, or a body temperature above 38 degrees centigrade, or any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19.
While on board, all prospective evacuees are required to wear face masks and be in possession of a hand sanitizer for intermittent use throughout the journey.
Furthermore, all returnees are enjoined to adhere strictly to all instructions of Port Health Services (PHS) officials and observe other entry screening protocols on arrival.
