Election Tribunal Reserves Judgement on Emeka Ihedioha
Palpable tension as the Imo State governorship Election Tribunal will soon give its judgement on the disputed governship election of March 9 2019.
The governorship election tribunal reserved judgement after the hearing of Friday, September 20, deliver judgement on the petition filed against the victory of the state governor, Emeka Ihedioha.
The tribunal sat at a Federal High Court in Jabi district, Abuja by 9 am, the secretary of the tribunal, Balarabe Garba said.
A petition was filed against Ihedioha’s emergence as governor of Imo state by three political parties – Action Alliance (AA), All Progressives Congress (APC) and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Three candidates and their political parties challenged the declaration of Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha as the governor of Imo State at the tribunal.
They are Sen. Hope Uzodimma and the APC, Sen. Ifeanyi Arraraume and APGA and Ugwumba Uche Nwosu and AA.
After almost Five months of Cross fire at the tribunal, these candidates and their parties have exhaustively laid their cases against the declaration of the Ihedioha, as governor of the state by INEC.
