EXCLUSIVE: Gov Dickson Caught Trying To Sell Bayelsa Oil Bloc To Himself
The Governor of Bayelsa State, Mr. Henry Seriake Dickson has been accused of embarking on a ploy to sell the State oil bloc purportedly to himself.
A source revealed it to ElombahNews with the attendant document to prove.
The document contains a petition/letter reference to the sale of Bayelsa oil bloc by the outgoing governor through the Managing Director of Bayelsa Oil Company Limited [BOCL]. Mr. Ebikabowei C. Dorgu.
The petitioner, one Barrister Oruah C. Mark, who is the Secretary/Legal Adviser of BOCL recounted how he was bullied into signing the relevant document to effect the sale by BOCL Managing Director, Mr. Dorgu, but he declined.
Consequently, he was threatened with sack and other absurdities but he stood his ground which led to this petition addressed to the Board Chairman of BOCL.
Governor Dickson is due to vacate office early 2020 following the gubernatorial election which will be conducted on November 16, 2019, by the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC].
The governor’s spokesman, Daneil Iworiso, could not be reached for input into the allegation as at press time as the phone was switched off.
