EXCLUSIVE: Pandemonium in Orlu as soldiers land, shooting over 2 killed soldiers —Eyewitness

ElombahNews has been informed that there is currently a pandemonium in a community in Orlu Zone, near Owerri, the Imo State capital, as soldiers landed in the state on sixteen military air buses early hours of Friday morning and started shooting at sight.

An eyewitness raised the alarm to this medium anonymously on Friday in an SOS.

According to him, ‘the soldiers started shooting as a result of two soldiers killed around the area’.

He wrote in the SOS:

“There was a very big trouble in Orlu zone IMO State; 16 military air bus landed at Owerri airport, around 3am this morning they start shooting as a result of two soldiers killed around the area. I myself ran away from Orlu to Nnewi where I had gone for burial.”

Our correspondent recounted that in the early hours of Friday, residents of the community noticed low-flying military aircrafts and were jolted at the number of the aircrafts after they counted sixteen of them.

According to the eyewitness, upon inquiry, it was discovered that the soldiers were on a revenge mission over the two soldiers killed by militants of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

A video, last week, had gone viral showing IPOB militants boasting over how they overpowered some soldiers on two Hilux trucks that encountered them.

The militants had engaged them in a gun duel and two soldiers resultantly died while the survivors escaped in one truck leaving one behind.

Consequently, the village and surrounding ones are fleeing to various destinations as the soldiers have launched a man-hunt for the militants and shooting anyone that puts up the slightest resistance.

Recently, IPOB launched the Biafra Security Network (BSN), a group of young men acclaimed to be invincible as bullets, according to reports, do not pierce them.

Watch video below:

They said their objective is to protect the South East geo-political zone from the marauding Fulani herdsmen that have been wreaking havoc across various geo-political zones in the country.

IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu escaped from Nigeria to Israel and later to the United Kingdom after soldiers stormed his house and killed dozens of unarmed residents.
