Fake Miracles: Identification Of False & Genuine Prophets [1]

By Paul Ikechukwu Njoku

You maybe aware that the title “Prophet” is frequently distorted. Its hermeneutics or interpretations have been ruthlessly altered and abused by the satanic agents.

The Bible defines a Prophet as a chosen one who reveals information from God otherwise unknown to the people. (Ezekiel 2 & 3, Jeremiah 29: 19).

With this simple definition in mind, please consider the below passages as Jesus warned His followers to:

“Watch out for false prophets; they come to you in sheep clothing but inwardly they are ferocious wolves…Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven”.

“Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you. Go away from me, you evildoers” ( Matthew 7:15, 21-23).

For false christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect. “See, I have told you ahead of time”. (Matthew 24:24, 25).

Wow! these few exegesis of the Biblical verses of the scripture, tell us that false prophets deceitfully use the Name and Gospel of Jesus Christ for recognition, power and or money. They fake and perform great signs and miracles simply because they are associated with demons. They have no affiliation with Christ and His Gospel even though they may speak volumes about Jesus Christ and salvation and shall exist until the end of time.

In fact, the last false prophet mentioned in the Bible is the devil himself (Revelation 19:20). If you are a Christian who reads the Bible, you should not be a victim of fake prophecy and miracles. If you belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and your personal saviour, you should not be deceived by the fake men in cassocks and pulpits. Many of them are evil merchants and criminals. Some are ritualists and heartless herbalists who mutate with the devil and luciferan contents.

You should not be deceived or hoodwinked by those criminals, miracle artists, pernicious liars and magicians who prey on the gullibility of the feeble minds.

Yes! God has true prophets and teachers of the Gospel! There are indeed genuine men of God in cassocks and pulpits though. The Bible indicates that Jesus bestowed spiritual gifts on the early Church. (The word “church” as used in this article should not be misconstrued or confused to a particular denomination or Orthodoxy).

However, Paul wrote: “it was He (Jesus) who gave some gifts to ordinary people so that they could serve as Apostles, some to be Prophets and Teachers of the Word. All of these qualities should work together to prepare God’s people for works of service and for the body of Christ to be sustained until we reach the unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature to attaining to the whole measures of the fullness of Christ”. (Ephesians 4: 11-13).

These Biblical verses reveal that Jesus Christ equips genuine and true Prophets with extraordinary prophetic gift for the benefit of building His Church.

Please, notice that Paul identifies their order of importance: “And in the Church, God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, workers of miracles, those with the gift of healing, those able to help others, those with the gift of administration and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. (1 Corinthians 12:28).

The Bible is clear that genuine and false prophets will exist until the end. The first step to identifying a true Prophet is found in the book of Ezekiel. False prophets are quickly known through their perfidies. Their visions and declarations are false and deceitful. Their divinations and words are full of lies and treachery. They say: “the Lord declares”, when the Lord has not sent them or empowered them to declare anything. (Ezekiel 13:1-7).

Theologically and historically, false prophets are not a recent problem. In fact, it appears that every time God appointed a true Prophet for the people of Isreal, false Prophets also sprang up. (See 1 Kings 18:19 and Jeremiah 28).
