FG declares July 25 as National Diaspora Day
The Federal Government of Nigeria has set aside July 25 2021 as National Diaspora Day in recognition of the contributions of Nigerians living outside the country towards homeland development.
In this year’s National Diaspora Day celebration titled, “Diaspora Integration for National Peace and Development”, the Federal Government said it will be used to recognize the contribution of Nigerians in the Diaspora to national development and to celebrate the Diaspora who have achieved feats in various fields of endeavor
This was confirmed in a statement made by Honorable Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission
She said, “My brothers and sisters in the Diaspora,
“We are honoured to have Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala (Director General of the World Trade Organisation), Dr Amina Mohammed (Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations), and more esteemed speakers at the Nigeria National Diaspora Day (2021)
“We are looking forward to welcoming you.
