Senate Leader reads the executive communication from President Muhammadu Buhari on the confirmation of appointment of justices of Supreme Court.

Report of Ad-hoc Committee on the harmonization of the Resolutions on the State of the Economy was stepped down by 30mins.
Senate now moves to Reading of Motions .
The First Motion of the day is a Motion on Inconclusive Elections by the Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu.
He noted with deep concern that at least 20states of the Federation have no resident Electoral Commissioners, and RECs Which is contrary to Section 14 (2) of the third Schedule of the 1999 Constitution as amended .
He said that INEC cannot function optimally without the full complement of members that will superintend the activities of other personnel.
Deputy Sen. President also raised concerns over the worrisome trend of inconclusive elections and whimsical postponement of elections.
Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe further stressed on the implications of pending elections which cannot be dismissed by the wave of the hand.
Senate President puts the question and the prayers of the motions were adopted.
The senate resolved to call on @NGRPresident to immediately nominate suitable qualified persons to fill the vacant positions at INEC.
They urged INEC to immediately conclude all pending reruns elections in the country. Constitute an Ad-hoc committee to review INEC.
Senators Barnaba Gemade, Adeyeye and Sam Anyanwu prayed for INEC to create additional constituency Assembly for state election.
