Four Civil Defense Personnels Kidnapped In Kogi
Unknown gunmen have kidnapped four personnels of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps [NSCDC], Kogi State Command, on Thursday.
The officers were reportedly en route to Benue State, to attend a promotion examination when they were kidnapped around Ajegwu, Ofu LG.
Further information shows that five NSCDC officers were traveling in an official vehicle when they were kidnapped but one person escaped.
The kidnappers, it was further gathered, have already contacted the families of the victims and are demanding N30 million ransom for their release.
In the meantime, the State Police Command has confirmed the development, saying that actually the four NSCDC officers were among an undisclosed number of victims who were kidnapped same time.
Recently, ten persons were abducted along the same axis while six persons, including a student of the Nigeria Law School, were similarly kidnapped along the Obajana-Kabba road.
