Further evidence emerges Lauretta Onochie remains APC member

Further evidence has emerged that Ms. Lautetta Onochie, who is the Special Assistant on Social Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, remains a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) despite her denials at the Senate.

Recall that Ms. Onochie had denied her membership three times before the Senate Screening committee on Thursday.

She had said pointblank before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Senate Committee: “I am not a member of any political party”.

Consequently, ElombahNews published irrefutable evidence she is a card-carrying member of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

The report contained information obtained from Ward Four, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, where Onochie registered as member during the APC Membership registration exercise carried out recently which she is also denying.

She is number 2 in the just concluded registration exercise.

The new APC register has serial Nos with local government delineation.

However, she claimed the register published by this medium is an old one and is not admissible as far as APC is concerned.

She claimed that since 2019 she has seized to be member of any political party and she did not register in the concluded registration and validation of membership.

In the meantime, this medium has unearthed more evidence which shows that Onochie remains a member of the ruling APC.

The first evidence is a document titled “Plaintiff’s Witness Statement on Oath” which she swore in the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in the Abuja judicial division.

She stated therein:

“That I am also engaged in active politics and a member of the neighbourhood Watch and has also contested the Local Government Elections under the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom. I am also a member of the All Progressives Congress and a volunteer at the Buhari Support Organisation (BSO).”

The second evidence is a tweet dated June 24, 2020. She tweeted:

“There is definitely an APC e-NEC meeting tomorrow. We are going through a growth process. Thank you everyone.”

The tweet was accompanied with an official APC logo with full colours of green, white, blue and red, and a hand holding a broom.
