Ganduje appoints sacked commissioner, Muazu Magaji, Chairman, AKK Gas Project
Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje has appointed his sacked commissioner for Work and Infrastructure, Engr. Mu’azu Magaji as Chairman State Gas Pipeline Project Delivery and Gas Industrialization Committee.
Engr. Mu’azu Magaji was sacked on 18th April due to statement he made on social media mocking late Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari.
But, Ganduje in a letter of appointment dated 29th October 2020 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs Directorate, Office of the Secretary to the Kano State Government, Bilikisu Shehu Maimota appointed Magaji as chairman of AKK gas project.
The letter read, “your appointment into the committee is predicated upon your professional qualification, vast experience, patriotic disposition and hoped that you bring these sterling qualities to bear on the assignment in line with the collective resolve to promote the overall development of the State.”
The other members of the committee are, Alhaji Kabiru Musa Adamu (Chairman, MAN Sharada/Challawa Branch), representatives of Ministries of Finance, Planning and Budget, Commerce & Industry, Works and Infrastructure, Justice, Environment, Information, Bureau of Land Management, Kano Urban Planning Development Agency (KNUPDA), KANIVEST, Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA), Special Adviser, Foreign Investment and Substantive Permanent Secretary, member and Head of Secretariat.
