Governor Ambode Hosts British PM Theresa May In Lagos
The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode played host to the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, on Wednesday, when stopped over in Lagos as part of her 3-day visit to Africa.
May was earlier hosted in Abuja by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari when she paid him a brief visit before proceeding to Lagos.
Speaking after the meeting, Governor Ambode said:
“Nigeria shares a long relationship with Britain and we agreed that the stability in government has given investors a lot of confidence to do business in Lagos.
“We are positive that both nations will benefit from this bilateral relationship.”
Ms. May has since proceeded to Kenya where she is scheduled to meet the Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta.
