Warn school authority against mockery of academic rules
The Igbo Peoples Congress and Igbo Aborigines have called on the Abia state Government to Pay the arrears of Salaries and Pensions of workers and pensioners of the Polytechnic owed salaries arrears and pensions for more than eleven months and two years respectively.
The spokesmen of the groups Pastor Okey Colbert and Chidi Obisike respectively decried the pitiable condition of workers and pensioners of the school and wondered how the authorities and government of the state would watch and see workers and pensioners of this school die and suffer greatly as they presently do.
The recent use of touts and cleaners of the school as Academic staff during the recent Matriculation of the school is a mockery of academic rules , the groups noted.
It warned use of brutal force against the staff and pensioners of the school presently going on.
The two groups thus gave the Abia state government seven days to clear the arrears of pensions and salaries of the school or face the wrath of the groups.
