Gunmen Kill 7 Policemen On ‘Stop & Search’ In Abuja [Update]

CAUTIONARY UPDATE:

This is to inform the entire community that unknown gunmen stormed the Police outpost at Galadimawa roundabout yesterday night (2nd July, 2018) and shot seven (7) Policemen dead at a close range and made away with their riffles according to eye witness reports.

As part of an ongoing investigations embarked upon by Federal Government to bring the killer(s) to book, the entire AUST community are advised to always be with their identification (ID) cards and be conscious of whom they discuss the above incident with, as some uniform and plain clothes personnels are already deployed to comb the entire Galadimawa area and its environs during these periods.

The Police Command assures the safety of the entire Galadimawa community, that people should be free to carry out their daily lawful activities, as the security agents are on top of the issue.

Seven policemen were killed in Abuja on Monday night during their routine stop and search operation by some unknown gunmen with several civilians injured.

ElombahNews gathered that the unsuspecting policemen were suddenly engaged in a gun duel with the assailants at Galadimawa roundabout, an Abuja suburb.

Eyewitnesses told our Abuja correspondent that the vehicle carrying the gunmen was stopped during routine check but that they suddenly opened fire on the policemen.

As a result, seven of the policemen were shot dead while one was seriously injured.

The raging gun duel forced passers-by to run for safety leading to many sustaining various degrees of injury.

In the meantime, more policemen have been deployed of to the area to restore sanity and assure pedestrians of safety.

Reacting to the development, police sources have assured Abuja residents that the security operatives are working hard to bring the perpetrators to justice.
