Herdsmen have attacked three Catholic Priests from Anambra State somewhere in Enugu State, kidnapping one of them and injuring two in the process

Herdsmen attacked three Catholic Priests from Anambra State somewhere in Enugu State, kidnapping one of them and injuring two.

Catholic Bishop of Awka, Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor, according to reports, said  the priests,  two from Awka Catholic Diocese and one from Nnewi diocese were attacked at Nkpologwu/Nimbo in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.

They were attacked while returning from a condolence visit to Nsukka, also in Enugu State.

Reverend Father Emma Dim was said to have been kidnapped by the herdsmen in the process.

Meanwhile, Rev. Father Jude Chukwuneke, who was shot at the head was rushed to Mephis Hospital in Enugu state.

Another priest Jude Ezeokana was said to have sustained a serious injury and also receiving treatment.

Enugu communities especially Nimbo, Aku, Awgu among others have recently come under siege by the Fulani Herdsmen.
