… Ask him to tell Buhari to be the father of the Nation .
Two Igbo groups, the IGBO PEOPLES CONGRESS AND THE IGBO ABORIGINES have lauded the Sultan of Sokoto His Eminence Saad Abubakar for his recent stand aginst the Quit notice by Arewa Youth Coalition. The groups commended the Sultan for his courage, though coming very late. They had expected him to have come out very early to criticize the obnoxious act at the early stage before the ‘suspension ‘ of the notice.
The groups nontheless called on the Sultan to advise President Mohammed Buhari to see all Nigeria as his constituency and carry all sections along. They lambasted the recent appointments in the NNPC where all the Group General Managers of the departments came from the North and noted that its that kind of insensitivity and gross abuse of the federal character principles that ignites agitations in the country . They urged the Sultan to admonish President Buhari not to re-arrest Nnamdi Kanu as it would be counter productive.. Instead the government should engage him towards a lasting solution.
The groups agreed with the Sultan that politicians and Nigerian elites are responsible for the tension in the country and they benefit from it. They called on the EFCC, ICPC and DSS to be more proactive on the war against corruption in the country and decried a situation where the looters of our commonwealth are still enjoying their loots till date while many of them are now hiding in the National Assembly as Distinguished or Honorables when they are infact Dishonorables and Undistinguished looters.
The spokesmen of the groups Pastor Okey Colbert and Chidi Obisike warned of the consequences of corruption in the countryl
