Igbo Youths protest in Enugu, call for Nnamdi Kanu’s release
Igbo youths have massively demonstrated in the Streets of Enugu against the rearrest and detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra
The Protest took place around Edinburgh Road to Obiagu, Ogui Road to Main Market through Okpara Avenue and New Haven to Otigba Junction.
Some of the inscription on the placards read: Release Nnamdi Now; UNO-OAU-EU, please Give Us Referendum; Dot in a Circle- Give Us Biafra; The Arrest of Nnamdi Kanu Cannot Stop BIAFRA; Arrest of Nnamdi Kanu- Biafra has Come; Biafra-Good to Go; Nnamdi Kanu is a Freedom Fighter.
Speaking to the Press on the Protest, the Leader who is the Convener of Voice from the East, V-East, Comrade Kindness Jonah, said that the Protest has become necessary since there is now, international and local outcry against the Arrest.
United Kingdom has questioned it. According to Comrade Jonah, Kanu is a Freedom Fighter, not a Terrorist. He should be accorded all respects while the trial should be in an open court not enmeshed in religious bias.
