Imo gov introduces new colour for commercial vehicles, directs drivers to go for data capture

Hope Uzodinma, governor, Imo State has ordered biometric capture for all taxi and bus operators in the state, saying that the near measure is meant to stem the tide of violence and orgy of killings that seized the state.
This was disclosed via a news release signed by Nze Chinasa Nwaneri, the SA Special duties to the governor.
According to the aide to the governor, the measure is to make Imo better and further secure the lives and Properties of Ndi Imo.
“The Imo State Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has directed the Special Adviser On Special Duties to the Governor, Hon. Nze Chinasa Nwaneri to inform all commercial taxi and bus drivers in Imo State, to go to the Imo State Ministry of Transport and undertake Data capture and compliance with uniformed taxi colour for imo state commercial vehicles,” the statement read.
Other measures include, a new colour code with Blue colour code 3011 to be painted down; White colour code 797 to be painted up; Red colour code 555 to be painted as two red lines running from the boot to the bonnet.
“The above colour and design is the approved colour for commercial vehicles in the state and there will be strict enforcement with penalty.
“Commercial vehicles drivers are enjoined to comply with this notice within 14 days from today the 8th of June 2021,” the statement added.
