Directors and members of Imo State New Media have been thrown into mourning following the death of their member, Comrade Henry Ogechi Agboso.
Comrade Agboso until his death was the Coordinator of the New Media of Imo’s leading opposition party, PDP, in Mbaitoli LGA. During an emergency session convened at the state secretariat of the party in Owerri in honour of the deceased, the Director-General of the PDP New Media, Prince Collins Opurozor, described the late Agboso as reliable, committed and resourceful. He said the exit of Agboso was very heartbreaking, and prayed God to grant him a place in heaven.
While on a pre-funeral condolence visit to the bereaved family in Ogbaku on Wednesday, Opurozor made a glowing tribute about Agboso, and emphasized that the late media anchorman led a life of purpose and dedicated himself to the fight against bad governance in Imo State. He regretted that his demise has created a vacuum that will not be filled anytime soon.
Also speaking, the Director-General of Ihedioha New Media Center, Ebube Mbah, stated that the news of the death of Agboso came as a rude shock to everyone within the New Media. According to him, Agboso was a dependable brother who worked so hard for the party. Mbah also disclosed that Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha is deeply in grief over the unfortunate occurrence and conveyed to the family the heartfelt condolence of the former governor.
In response, the younger brother to the deceased appreciated the New Media Team for their visit, and announced that the burial ceremony has been slated for June 11, 2021.
