Residents of Imo State have resorted to protest and prayer for justice ahead of the hearing of the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] and its candidate, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha seeking a reversal of the January 14 Supreme Court judgement that ousted Ihedioha as the state governor.
Residents across the state on Thursday converged at the Kalu Nwankwo Sports Centre praying and wishing that the decision be reversed with a hashtag: #ImoWantsIhedioha.
The apex court had declared Senator Hope Uzodinma as the winner of the election despite finishing fourth on the table of the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC].
While praying, the prayer leader said:
Let them go quick into hail those that speak grievous things contentiously against the child of God Ihedioha.
For Thou has frustrated the liar and make their diviners mad.
I stand in my office as a royal priesthood , I legislate spiritually that they should gather themselves together it shall come to nought.
I decree that their mischief must fail them.
It is written , that whoever that seek my soul , Ihedioha’s and family ‘s soul to destroy will go to the lower part of the earth and shall fall by the sword and shall be a portion for the foxes.
I command every council of Ahitophel be converted into foolishness.
That gallow that was prepared for Ihedioha, they shall be buried in it in Jesus name, Amen.
The Supreme Court had adjourned the matter to March 2 for hearing.
