The National Bureau of Statistics [NBS] has reported that the importation of fuel has reduced by 512 million litres within the last 3 months.
The period in question, it could be noted, is the period the country’s borders have been under lock and key.
Reacting to the development, the Presidency, on Saturday, said:
“Border closure is having an effect.
“Fuel Importations normally increase this period of the year, but rather we have over 2 billion litres in reserve.
“Indeed, Nigeria is making progress.”
