The Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Nsima Ekere, has commiserated with the family of the late Paramount Ruler of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Edidem Ita Etuk, describing him as a man of distinction and peculiar nobility.
In a condolence message to the deceased family, Mr. Ekere recalled that the departed monarch ruled with great wisdom, fairness, love, integrity, strong family and societal values as well as the fear of God.
He stated that it was worthy to note that Edidem Etuk lived a life of excellence, right from his school days to his days as a police officer, lawyer, politician, public servant and monarch.
Mr. Ekere also eulogized the late monarch for helping to shape the political, social and personal destiny of so many people and for helping channel into a great propelling force the enthusiasm and aspirations of his people.
He urged the family to be comforted by the fact that Edidem Etuk lived a fulfilling life founded on a tradition of uncommon goodness and fear of God.
“It is a legacy that will continue to inspire everybody, particularly as we work to build a better society,” Mr. Ekere said.
