59 Senator Protest against passage of sequence of elections
No fewer than 59 Senators kicked against the passage of sequence of elections on the floor of the Senate saying the passage is palrtian and self seeking .
However, 10 out of 59 senators who addressed the newsmen said that from language of leadership of Senate the amendment is unfair.
The report was submitted for consideration of the Senate by the chairman, Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Senator Suleiman Nazif.
Speaking during the briefing, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege said that the passage is unconstitutional and is targeted against President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to him, the passage of the electoral Act in the Senate is unconstitutional and iqt targeted at the President Muhammadu Buhari.
among the Senators that kicked against the passage openly were Senator Aliyu Wakili, Senator Adamu Abdullahi, Senator Kabiru Gaya, Senator Binta Masi Garba, Senator Abu Ibrahim among other.
