The Katsina State governor, Aminu Masari, has launched goat empowerment programme for secondary school students in the state.

Governor Masari launched the programme at Government Girls Arabic Secondary School, Dutsinma on Saturday.

During the launch, the state Commissioner for Education, Professor Halimatu Idris, said the programme was to empower the students to be self-reliant.

Professor Idris said the goat empowerment programme was part of the Masari administration’s efforts toward improving the lives of Katsina people.

He also said the governor hoped to improve the development of education in the state throught the Goat empowerment programme.
