The Managing Director of New Nigerian Newspapers Ltd, Alhaji Tukur Abdulrahman has charged the company's representatives at the 2017 Kaduna Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) WEEK to go for gold.

The MD expressed this in a goodwill message to the team, handed down to the Chairman of New Nigerian NUJ chapel, Mr. Benedict Sunday on Wednesday.

"Despite losing your last football game, I believe you have learnt from your loss and would resolve to win your remaining two matches and win gold," he said.

The MD who was represented by the Online Editor of the foremost newspaper publishing house in Nigeria, Jacob Onjewu Dickson, said he was proud of the team and assured of his support.

He also wished the company's representatives in other events success.

"I learnt our table tennis team led by Mohammad Ibrahim would be playing today (Wednesday December 6, 2017) I am wishing them the best, believing they would make us proud," he added.

Alhaji Abdulrahman also wished those competing Scrabble luck.

In his comments, the New Nigerian Chapel Chairman, thanked the MD for his support.

He assured that they would put in their best in all the events and be good ambassadors of the company.

The New Nigerian Newspapers soccer team nicknamed Scoopers would file out against a talented FRCN team on Thursday for a shot to play in the final billed for Friday.
