We strongly condemn the killing of 19 law abiding, defenseless Middle Belters, call on int’l community, NGOs, UNO, AU, ECOWAS, etc. to come to our aid.
President Buhari urged Plateau residents not to allow return of violence

*Says President Muhammadu Buhari-led FG has abandoned their people

Residents of Ancha village, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau state have sent out an SOS to world bodies in the aftermath of the massacre of at least 19 persons by Fulani herdsmen.

The SOS went to the United Nations [UN], African Union [AU], Economic Community of West African State [ECOWAS], and other non-governmental organisations [NGOs].

The SOS was contained in a press release by the Core Middle Belt Value on 9th September 2017, titled “Another Fulani Herdsmen Attack On Middlebelters”.

Condemning the killing of 19 law abiding and defenseless Middle Belters, they stated that the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari had abandoned their people.

The statement reads in full:

It is another sad day in Ancha village, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau state. We are helpless, defenseless and abandoned by the APC led state and federal government once again in the middle belt.

Over 19 persons killed and over 5 persons seriously injured in Ancha village on the 8th September 2017.

According to the online newspaper, Sahara Reporters, the state commissioner of police, Mr. Peter Ogunyawo, was quoted as saying that the preliminary investigation shows that the attack was carried out by the Fulani herdsmen.

This is not only pathetic but inhuman and failure of both the state and federal government to perform their primary responsibility of protecting lives and properties of their citizens.

Recall that we called the attention of the whole world to the killings going on in the middle belt unabated in our Communiqué issued on the 24th August 2017.

We appealed to the federal government to focus on repressing the incessant killings by Fulani herdsmen and the international community to put pressure on the federal government to clamp down on the Fulani herdsmen.

From all indications and the recent killings in Jos, it is clear that the federal government has either failed to do anything to stop these monsters called Fulani herdsmen or is indirectly in support of these evil and bloodsucking Fulani herdsmen killing people in the middle Belt.

Ridiculously, the APC led federal government backed army recently announced the return of operation python dance in the South East to clamp down on defenseless citizens.

Why send an army against defenseless citizens instead of against killers?

Why is it difficult for the powerful Nigeria army to stop Fulani Herdsmen?

Why is it difficult for the government of Buhari to stop Boko Haram from killing our soldiers in Borno?

Are Fulani herdsmen license to kill?

Are the Fulani herdsmen immune from arrest even after killing people?

Do we still have government in Nigeria?

We strongly condemn the killing of 19 law abiding and defenseless Middle Belters in Ancha Village, Jos and call on international community, the NGOs, UNO, AU, ECOWAS, etc., to come to our aid since Federal Government under President Mohammed Buhari had abandon our people.

We sympathize with all the family affected by the killings and pray God to give you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss .
