President Muhammadu Buhari is currently locked in a meeting with Security Chiefs, at the State House. Meeting over the spate of insecurity bedeviling the nation.
The meeting is still ongoing as at the moment of filing this report.
Present at the meeting, were the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency [NIA], Ahmed Abubakar, as well as the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
Also present are the Chief of Defence Staff, Maj Gen Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, Chief of Air Staff, AVM Sadique Abubakar, Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, and the Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai.
The meeting came at a time that there is growing concern over increasing killings by people suspected to be Fulani herdsmen across the country.
