Senator Uche Iyom Ekwunife has been pulled out from the senatorial race.
As a sitting senator under the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] and chairman of downstream petroleum, the Court of Appeal cancelled her election citing the primaries that produced her.
Ironically, it is the same primaries that produced all the PDP officers and senators serving currently in Senate but none of them were affected, only the chairman of downstream petroleum.
After the call for a re run PDP Anambra said that they will not field a candidate for the election despite having a serving Senator , thereby forcing her to move into the All Progressives Congress [APC] to enable her return to the senate and her downstream chairmanship.
APC has given the ticket to Alhaja Sharon Muhammed Ikeazor who placed a very distant 2nd .
Ekwunife pulled 284 votes against Sharon who pulled 34 votes , but in a formal inconclusive arrangement APC gave the ticket to her that pulled 35 votes against 284.
When we spoke to Senator Iyom Ekwunife, she said she hands everything over to God . She said, “odi Chukwu nma , odim nma ” (if it pleases God, then it pleases me as well ).
She thanked her supporters for such a wonderful love and support showed to her .
Our investigation revealed that the conspiracy against Uche was to cage her growing political acceptance and growth.
She scared so many powers that be with her political growth and being a woman , a masculine caging agenda was in place and today they were rewarded with a success of egbue dike na ogu ulo .
