Scandal: GM lodged N1.4b PEF funds in nine GTB personal accounts
The Special Presidential Investigation Panel has uncovered N1.4 billion lodged in nine account in GT Bank belonging to General Manager Operation, Petroleum Equalization Fund [PEF], Aisha Usma.
The Panel chairman of the Panel, Okoi Obono-Obla, who made this known, said that the money was paid into Mrs Usma account by yet to be named Oil and Gas Companies.
According to him, we discovered that Usma Aisha operated nine accounts in Guaranty Trust Bank with a total financial inflow of N1.4 billion.
“We found that Usman’s accounts were as a result of the payment of large sums of money by companies operating in the oil and gas industry,” he said.
