#KogiDecides: Wada/PDP files petition at electoral Tribunal

Seeks cancellation of "illegal votes"

The Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] and its candidate in the Kogi State 2019 gubernatorial election, Engr. Musa Wada have, on Saturday, filed a petition at the state’s election petition Tribunal challenging the election of the incumbent, Governor Yahaya Bello.

According to Mr. Usman Okai Austin, who reported it on his Twitter handle, Engr. Wada and his party petitioned the Tribunal to cancel the “illegal votes fabricated by Gov. Yahaya Bello and cohorts in the past election conducted in the state”.

The tweet reads:

“The battle to reclaim the stolen mandate of the Kogi people was today filed by Engr. MUSA WADA to the electoral Tribunal The prayer of the petition is to cancel the illegal votes fabricated by Gov. Yahaya Bello and cohorts in the past election conducted in the state.”

It could be recalled that Governor Bello of the All Progressives Congress [APC] was declared winner in the election which held on November 16, 2019.

Bello defeated his closest rival, Wada of the PDP, to retain his seat as the governor of Kogi State for another four-year tenure.
