The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has sent a message of goodwill to all Lagosians and indeed all Nigerians as we enter a promising phase of recovery as a nation. The party said that despite the bleak global economic prospects, Lagosians and all Nigerians will, in 2016, reap bountifully from the change they eagerly effected in the country’s political leadership in the past year.
In a release in Lagos, signed by the Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Joe Igbokwe, the party said that by electing to change from a corrupt and inept leadership in 2015, the country will reap bountifully from their right and timely choice as the APC government prepares to unleash unprecedented economic recovery policies in 2016 despite the farcical wreckage the government left behind and the fall in the price of crude oil. It assures that by the end of 2016, Nigerians will have cause to applaud the right political choice they made in 2015 as the country painstakingly saved from imminent collapse by the coming of the APC government.
“We wish the good people of Lagos a prosperous and more fulfilling new year, as we look eagerly to more fruitful governance in Lagos as the present government in the state continues the rapid development of the state deite hitting economic realities. We want to assure Lagosians that the state will get better in 2016 as the APC government adds immensely to the rich culture of goid and accountable, result-oriented governance Lagosians have immensely benefitted from since 1998. We want to reassure Lagosians that the state will continue to witness tremendous growth and progress as it positions to drive Nigeria’s recovery from the past of corrupt dependence on oil.
“We want to assure Lagosians that the state will witness massive infrastructural development, huge job creation, great boost in security and enormous investments as the present state government continues to aggressively pursue the goals of a huge mega-city where millions of Nigerians continue to fall back for succor following the global economic downturn and the immoral mismanagement of the country by the past PDP federal government.
“We equally assure Lagosians that the state and its people will re bountifully in the state’s role as the bastion of the progressive take over of the country from the corrupt and inept past government that brought the country to its knees even in the race of unprecedented oil boom. We want to assure a Lagosians that Lagos will, for the first time, draw handsomely from the interface with the federal government to vastly improve the huge infrastructural base of Lagos and create massive opportunities for Lagosians to benefit from the center for the first time in the state’s illustrious history.
“We therefore urge the good people of Lagos to continue to support the C government in the state to continue the envious development of Lagos as well as support the APC government at the center as it navigates the country intricately from the sordid past of corruption, megalomania and waste to a certain future of change, recovery and renewal in 2016.
“Once more, we wish all the good people of Lagos State and all Nigerians a very fruitful and much resourceful 2016.”
