Former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Lamorde is ill and has been flown abroad a week after removal from office.
It could be recalled that Lamorde was removed from office last week Tuesday by President Muhammadu Buhari and replaced by Ibrahim Magu.
Festus Keyamo who is lawyer to former anti-graft boss, made this known when he appeared before Senate Committee on Ethics, Privilege and Public Petition to respond to ongoing investigative hearing on alleged mismanagement of N1.3 trillion.
Elombah.com had reported that the ongoing probe of the former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [pictured above], by the Senate, is expected to continue on Tuesday [today] at The Senate.
Mr Lamorde was scheduled to appear before the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to answer questions on the petition against him by Dr. George Uboh on allegations of diversion of funds.
The former EFCC boss was to appear before the committee last week Tuesday, but the committee suspended it without explanation to its action.
