Lawmakers’ defection: APGA chairman, Njoku urges for calm
The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)A un’der the leadership of Chief Edozie Njoku, has called for calm over the defection of six members of Anambra State House of Assembly.
Chief Njoku disclosed that before the lawmakers moved over to the All Progressives Congress (APC), they shared their concerns over the situation of APGA with the NWC of his faction.
He said the lawmakers had frank and fruitful discussions with his group assuring that his leadership has promised to allay their fears.
However, the chairman noted that in politics, people put a lot of factors into consideration before taking their destiny in their hands.
Njoku decried the declining fortune of APGA lamenting that these are indeed trying times for the party.
He said as democrats, the party has decided to respect their decisions and wish them well.
The NWC he said pleads with members and supporters of APGA to remain calm, but vigilant, maintaining that ”this too shall pass.”
“Tidal events have made our pledge of a new APGA quite imperative, as such, we must double our efforts and take necessary steps to ensure that retain Agu Awka.
“All hands must be on deck,” Njoku added.
