MACBAN Vigilante In SE: March Your Words With Actions, Activist Tells SE Govs

Gives brief history of the Fulani

201

A human rights activist and author, Comrade Paul Ikechukwu Njoku, has commended the South East governors for finally rejecting the vigilante proposal made by the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in the South East.

MACBAN had made a proposal last week Thursday in Enugu State, demanding to establish their group to protect dwellers in the Southeast region of Nigeria during the South East Security Summit convened by the South East Governors’ Forum.

Comrade Njoku, decried that in as much as we have freedom of movement and association in our constitution as the basic ties of our fundamental human rights, we should not also discard that part of our constitution that guarantees right to life and respect to human sanctity and dignity including the protection of lives and property of Nigerians.

Comrade Paul, who gave a brief history of the Fulani in his press statement sent to us, noted that even though the South East Governors wasted much time to had outrightly rejected such proposal by MACBAN, much actions should be followed by making anti-open grazing laws that would forestall the deadly rampaging activities of the Fulani herdsmen in peoples’ farm land.

“I enjoy other peaceful and loving people of Ndigbo worldwide to commending the sudden development of the testicular fortitude of the South East Governors who just woke-up and rejected the proposal of setting- up Fulani vigilante operations in Igbo-land by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria days after the proposal was made at Enugu in the presence of the South East Governor’s forum during their recent Security Summit meeting aftermath of the bitter backlashes and moral criticisms by the Igbos and other dissenters.

“To consolidate this outright rejection, the South East Governors through their various States House of Assembly must as a matter of urgency, propose and sign into law, the necessary anti-open grazing bills, that would forestall the incessant bloodbaths, destruction of farm lands, kidnappings, maiming and raping of our women and daughters by the sect.

Comrade Paul Ikechukwu Njoku

“In as much as we have freedom of movement and association in our constitution as the basic ties of our fundamental human rights, we should not also discard that part of our constitution that guarantees right to life and respect to human sanctity and dignity which also include the protection of lives and property of Nigerians.

“I make bold to inform you without any contradiction that the Fulanis are not good tenants by history. Their arsenals are not hidden till tomorrow as daily seen in their ruthless bloodbaths and land grabbling by conquest.

“In his journal of 1854, the venerable Samuel Crowther, a freed Negroid-slave, who participated in the British exploration of River Niger, Chronicled how the Fulani terrorised, enslaved and depopulated some indigenous Negroid communities in the Northern Nigeria. That strategy of conquest is still is still the same today.

“According to Crowther, the Fulani, invariably enter a community by treachery and pretence; profess friendship but when a sufficient number of them had got in, they will commence seizing the inhabitants and scarcely give them time to make resistance. It came to pass that when the Fulani migrated to Western Sudan from Futa Jalon area in the present day Guinea in the 15th Century, the Hausas and other indigenous tribes allowed them to integrate into their various communities. And once the Fulani had gathered sufficient number of their kith and kin, the rest is bloodbath. Their leader, Shehu Usman Dan Fodio who migrated to the northern Nigeria in 1804, accused the Hausa kings who were his landlords of being corrupt. He subjected them into savagery and subjugation by killing them. He turned them to slaves and enriched himself by over-taxation and possession of Hausa patrimonies including women. 1808 was the real jihad as he decimated the Hausa people who accommodated him. He generally ran a tyrannical government.

“Consequently, Usman Dan Fodio, who initially presented himself as a pious man, a man of outstanding piety, a vicar of Allah on earth, pledged through his revolutionary preaching that once he mounted the saddle, only holy men irrespective of tribes and tongues will be allowed to steer the affairs of state in order to build a ‘paradise’ in Hausa land.

“Well, as it turned out, the Hausa and other indigenous Negroes in the present day Northwest, ever so naive, joined the rampaging Fulani jihadists to maim and murder the Hausa kings and their supporters and chased them away from their palaces. But, instead of selecting ‘holy men’ including the Hausas to turn the new government after the jihad, Usman Danfodio, imposed Fulani warriors as Emirs and they took over all the palaces of Hausa Kings and thereafter instituted the most wicked government in human history as they began raiding, killing and selling Indigenous Negroes as slaves to their Arab cousins and Europeans.

“As at this moment, the Fulani oligarchy and a handful of their Negroid collaborators have turned millions of the Indigenous Negroes in the Northwest into beggars and almajiris.

“Indeed, in his report in 1902, Lord Lugard, informed the British Government that ” the system of Fulani rule was a feudal one in which the right to all land was vested in the Emir”. The Fulani also imposed arbitrary and obnoxious double taxation on those they regarded as “conquered pagans”. They raided for nothing, raped women and if a town demurred to such treatment, it was reported to the Emir as rebellious and raided. In view of the above, Lord Lugard stated that the: “the misrule of the Fulani had rendered them hateful to the bulk of the population who would welcome their overthrow and I can myself see no injustice in the transfer of the suzerainty thus acquired to the British Government by the same right of conquest”.

“215 years after the first jihad, President Muhammadu Buhari (A Fulani Man) who sees himself as the 21 century reincarnation of Usman Danfodio, is adopting the same tactics of accusing Indigenous Negroes of being corrupt while simultaneously replacing his Fulani racial group (the holy men and women) into choice political offices to be amassing wealth to the disadvantages of other tribes in Nigeria.

“It is very instructive to recall that in 2001, Muhammadu Buhari, vowed at a seminar in Kaduna State by saying: “I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria; God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country”.

“Incidentally, for Buhari to implement Sharia laws in all parts of Nigeria, the Fulani must first and foremost take over such communities and also control the State instrument of coercion with which to intimidate, humiliate and conquer other ethnic groups in Nigeria as we have seen under his government today. This perhaps explains the onslaught on communities in the Middle Belt especially in Benue State where the Fulani herdsmen have displaced thousands of Indigenous Negroes who now live in Refugee Camps as Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in their own fathers’ land. Over time, if the international community remains aloof to the plight of the Middle Belt people and Nigerians, the Fulani will begin to install Emirs everywhere with the ultimate objective of establishing Sharia laws in fulfilment of Buhari’s 2001 averment as Governor El-Rufia of Kaduna State remains a factor to such mendacity by his Anti-Religious laws and Emirates.

“Even though Buhari’s insidious agenda is glaring for the blind to see, the gullible Negroid multitude like their forefathers who were conquered by the Fulani during the first jihad are still rejoicing that the Sharia crusader, Muhammadu Buhari, like his great grandfather, Usman Danfodio, is still posing as a man of piety who Allah has ordained to superintend over their affairs as their present day redeemer.

“If only our South East Governors and other Governors of the Southern ethnic group should know this handful history, there will be a significant control of the ongoing pogroms and relentless bloodbaths in Nigeria by the Fulani terror bandits”. Said Comrade Paul Njoku.
