Masari: Presidency should be moved south; adds “South is South”
The governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari has called for the Presidency to be moved to the southern part of the country after the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Governor Masari made the call during an interview on Channels Television during the programme “Politics Today”.
Masari argued that in the spirit of fairness, the south should produce the next president, noting that a non-northerner should succeed President Buhari in 2023.
He said: “If you ask me as a person Aminu, I think we should move the presidency to the southern part of the country.”
When asked which geopolitical zone deserves the shot, he replied: “South is South”, noting that any southern region can fill the gap.
The Katsina State governor sang praises for his party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and expressed confidence that the party will fare well in 2023 after Buhari’s tenure.
